Prescription Invitation

I was asked to design some invitations for my mum's 60th which is coming up soon. My mum works in the healthcare industry, so my sister requested I design some 'prescription' invitations.

It's been a while since I'd been on photoshop, so I made myself a nice pot of jasmine tea with the teapot my brother and his girlfriend gave me for christmas (isn't it cute?) and got stuck in.

Below is what I came up with. I think we'll also have to send an accompanying letter with the party details spelt out in case some people get confused. Hopefully though people can tell just by looking at it that it's an invitation, not a real prescription!

Heatwave in Ireland

We are in the midst of a heatwave in Ireland.

By heatwave I mean 22 degrees, but I'm not complaining! I come from a place where 22 degrees could be considered a little chilly, but after being in Ireland for over a year, I've learnt to appreciate good Irish weather!

To celebrate the heat, this evening we went for a drive to our local beach for a short walk:

Then continued on for a drive around Howth. Howth is a suburb in Dublin where the rich people live - so I love driving around Howth to check out the houses.. I wouldn't mind owning a house in Howth..maybe one day, when I'm rich!

I have been meaning to start a blog for a while, and a long weekend + no major plans = the perfect time to finally start!
